At Madlen, protecting the data of our teachers and students has always been our top priority. That’s why we are proud to announce our strategic partnership with Infercom, Europe’s first sovereign AI infrastructure provider.
Starting today, all Madlen tools are powered by Infercom’s infrastructure.
This is more than just a technical upgrade; it is one of the most critical architectural decisions we have ever made.
What does this mean for you?
Whether you are creating a lesson plan, generating exam questions, or processing student performance data on Madlen, your data now stays within servers located in Germany. It is no longer shared with third-party AI providers.
Infercom is a Luxembourg-based infrastructure company operating out of Equinix Tier III+ data centers in Munich. They are ISO 27001:2022 certified, GDPR compliant, and ready for the EU AI Act. In short: we can now provide full transparency regarding exactly where and how student and teacher data is processed.
KVKK, GDPR, ISO 27001: More Than Just Acronyms
These aren't just certificates; they are our commitment to you.
KVKK: Turkey’s Personal Data Protection Law. Madlen processes all user data in full compliance with this legislation.
GDPR: The EU’s General Data Protection Regulation. This is the gold standard and primary requirement for schools and ministries across Europe when selecting a vendor.
ISO 27001:2022: The international benchmark for information security management. Infercom’s data centers are independently audited against these rigorous standards.
The combination of these three means that any school using Madlen can demonstrate that student data is processed in accordance with Turkish law, EU law, and international security standards—simultaneously, not separately.
What is Infercom?
Infercom is Europe’s first sovereign AI infrastructure provider. Based in Luxembourg and operating out of Munich, it functions entirely under EU jurisdiction.
Why does this matter? Most AI providers are US-based. Even if their data centers are located in Europe, they remain subject to US federal law. Under the CLOUD Act, US authorities can request access to data held by these companies via court order. This is not possible with Infercom. The company operates entirely outside of US jurisdiction, ensuring true data sovereignty.
Furthermore, there is a significant performance advantage. Instead of traditional GPUs, Infercom utilizes SambaNova’s RDU (Reconfigurable Dataflow Unit) architecture, which runs up to 10 times faster than standard systems.
Data Center | Equinix Munich, Tier III+ |
Legal Jurisdiction | Germany / EU Law |
Certifications | ISO 27001:2022, GDPR, EU AI Act Ready |
Performance | 10x faster than GPU, 5x more energy efficient |
CLOUD Act Risk | Zero |
Why This Matters to Us
When we founded Madlen, we asked ourselves: "Can we build a truly trustworthy tool for schools?" Being trustworthy isn't just about performance; it’s about respecting your right to know where your data lives.
Today, we process the data of over 50,000 students and 20,000 teachers in Turkey. With that level of responsibility, the question of "where we run our infrastructure" is no longer a side issue—it is the core of our mission.
As we expand into Europe, this has become even more critical. Whether speaking with a school in Germany, France, or the UK, the first question is always: "Where is the data?" Now, we have a clear, documented, and architecturally sound answer.
"As we enter the European market, data sovereignty is not a preference—it is a prerequisite. Infercom provides us with this sovereignty not just on paper, but within our very architecture."
— Atakan Özkaya, Founder & CEO, Madlen
This partnership is a landmark moment in Madlen’s growth. We are taking the mission we started in Turkey—to give teachers their time back—and bringing it to Europe with a secure, auditable, and sovereign infrastructure.
Because we know: to transform education, you must first be able to trust the technology behind it.
