About OCR GCSE Physics A Gateway (J249)
OCR Gateway Physics A (J249) has four components: Papers 1 and 2 at Foundation tier, Papers 3 and 4 at Higher. Students sit two papers from one tier.
Papers 1 and 3 cover topics P1–P4 and practical skills (P9); Papers 2 and 4 cover P5–P8, assuming knowledge of P1–P4 and P9.
